Sitting here, trying to think about what significant events I can write about that have occurred since my two month hiatus — the first to come to mind was Rainier & I’s official one year anniversary on September 12th. Not only was it a major accomplishment after all the craziness that came our way within that first year, but it’s also amazing we’ve not only grown as individuals — but as a couple too. We barely survived every curve ball that was thrown our way, but it’s almost as if the worst is over and it’s all smooth sailing from here. It was definitely something we were both very excited to celebrate together!

The afternoon of our anniversary, all I knew was he had a day full of surprises planned out for me. The first was that he picked me up and took us to have lunch at the Stratosphere’s TOP OF THE WORLD revolving restaurant. I have always wanted to go there! :D I was beyond excited. It was amazing how the tables were revolving… We got to do a full 360 and saw all of Las Vegas! For our appetizers, we both started with the lobster bisque soup. Main courses — for me, I had the petit filet with a jumbo lump crab cake, buerre blanc… and for him, the petit filet with lobster tail and lobster sauce. The desserts were also incredible! Everything was just so flavorful and delectable. Highly recommended! :)

After lunch, he took me shopping at Mandalay Bay… and afterwards, surprised me with tickets to watch Disney’s THE LION KING! I was thrilled! The show was amazing… one that I’ve been dying to see. Glad I got to see it before their tour ended this December! And not only that, but we had amazing center seats! :) After the show, we stopped by my house so I could pack a few things — since I thought I was going to spend the next couple days at his house. Then we headed back to his place. We exchanged gifts, and as usual, he definitely out shined mine! He got me a brand new black xBox, and this had my nerdy little gamer girl self in tears of happiness! :’)

Oh oh, but the surprises weren’t over yet! After exchanging gifts, he told me he had one more thing up his sleeve… Once again, I was oblivious until we got there, and to my surprise, he got us a room at THE PARIS on the strip for two nights! Ah, no wonder he made me pack up more clothes than usual and whatnot! I was so excited! :D First thing he did when we got there… lay on the bed and start watching sports on the wide flatscreen! And I took the liberty of taking a relaxing bubble bath in our tub… reflecting on the wonderful day I had just had. I was in bliss. My man had outdone himself again… Something I need to get used to. :)
